The conduction band offset (CBO) at the CdS/Ag(In,Ga)Se2 (AIGS) interface was negative, which suggests the decline of the Voc. ZnS(O,OH) buffer layer was introduced to improve the CBO, however the FF decreased. The cause is attributed to a CBO at the ZnO/ZnS(O,OH) interface which prevent electron flow under a positive bias. Therefore, we controlled the both CBOs by using a hybrid buffer layer, and high efficiency AIGS solar cells were obtained.
