[13p-B9-8] Optical characterization of CIGS thin films and solar cells

Sho Shirakata1 (1.Ehime Univ)

Keywords:optical characterization, CIGS solar cells

Photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved Photoluminescence (TR-PL) have been performed to characterize the CIGS thin film and solar cell. CIGS thin film exhibited intense near-band-edge emission, and PL intensity is correlated to the conversion efficiency of the corresponding CIGS solar cell. PL intensity and lifetime reflect the photovoltage due to the excitation light. The characterization of the CIGS solar cell process by means of the two dimensional PL intensity mapping method is described.
