We have studied photoelectrodes based on a new concept for maximizing a value of photoelectrochemical reaction systems using solar light. It is production of high-value-added oxidation reagents at the anode in addition to H2 production at the cathode. In this work, we tried to increase the applied bias photon-to-current efficiency (ABPE) for the related reactions, and achieved very high ABPE.
