[13p-P5-19] Evaluation of Mechanical Properties of Double Walled Carbon NanoTube Yarn

We investigated the mechanical properties of the Carbon NanoTube (CNT) yarn mainly consisted of Double Walled CNTs (DWCNTs).The CNT yarn was made of DWCNTs by twisting with fixing the rotating and drawing speed. The diameter of CNT yarn was parameterized for the measurements of mechanical properties. We found that smaller diameter CNT yarn have better mechanical properties i.e. both the Tensile strength and Young’s modulus.
