Keywords:thermo-photovoltaic, multi-physics simulation, rare earth ceramic

Fuel-type thermo-photovoltaic (F-TPV) power generation is superior in quietness, portability and fuel diversity. Erbium contained ceramic is suitable material for the emitter of F-TPV because of its high thermal stability and wavelength selectivity in the thermal emission spectrum. However, the frame shape tends to make the emitter uneven in temperature owing to its low thermal conductivity. In order to realize high output power and efficiency, we designed the F-TPV fueled with synthesis gas, which emitter has high and more uniform temperature distribution by multi-physics simulation.
