△ [14a-A41-5] Analysis of Changes in I-V Characteristics of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells during Aging
Keywords:dye-sensitized solar cell, aging, oxygen
We have observed that I-V characteristics of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs), the inside of which was filled with an electrolyte, changed during aging treatment under illumination. The changes in I-V characteristics included a decrease in short-circuit current and an increase in open-circuit voltage. To determine the performance of each portion of the aged DSCs, they were separated into working electrodes, counter electrodes and electrolytes and underwent testing. The test results indicated changes in properties of the electrolyte. The relationship between the aging conditions including atmosphere and illumination and the change of I-V characteristics were also investigated. The results suggested that the presence of oxygen in the electrolyte and the light absorption of dye were involved in the reaction mechanism.
