[14a-B11-5] Free-standing organic transistors with reverse-offset electrodes as gate electrodes
Keywords:Printed electronics, Free-standing, Ultra-thin electronics
The realization of wearable electronic devices with extremely thin and flexible form factors has been a major technological challenge. While substrates typically limit the thickness of thin-film electronic devices, they are usually necessary for their fabrication and functionality. Recently we fabricated ultra-thin organic transistors and integrated circuits using device components whose substrates that have been removed. In this study, reverse-offset printing technique was used for the fabrication of electrodes. The printing technique enables flat films with high resolution (less than 5 μm) and thin thickness (less than 100 nm). We succesfully fabricated free-standing organic thin-film transistors with printed gate electrodes.
