[14p-A33-1] Introduction: Methods for Preparing Atomic Layers of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

Graphene, phosphorene and single layers of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) show various special properties coming from their two-dimensional layered structures, and their applications to electronic/optical devices, catalysts, solar cells and thermoelectric devices have been intensively studied. Development of TMDC thin film growth techniques is very important to realize such applications, so it will be mainly discussed in this symposium.
