In this study, we investigate the effect of short-wavelength visible laser irradiation to cell nuclei of living cells under the condition that the excitation light for fluorescent proteins has no influence on the cell viability and mitotic progression. The irradiation energy necessary to cause the cell death with the same probability tends to increase with increasing the irradiation laser intensity.
