[14p-C42-14] Radiation Damage Diagnosis by Ultraweak Biochemiluminescence

Hirotaka Okabe1, So Kimura1, Kouki Nishimura1, Yoshiki Hidaka1, Kazuhiro Hara1 (1.Kyushu Univ.)

Keywords:biochemiluminescence, radiation damage

The radiation damage is induced by damaged DNAs, and the damaged DNAs might affect the heat shock response. Heat shock response is conserved genetically in all organisms and can be assessed by ultraweak biochemiluminescence originated from the active oxygen of cellular respiration. Thus, we measured the photon intensity of the irradiated plant roots under heat shock.
