[15a-C42-7] [INVITED] Short Course of Category Theory for Optical Science and Technologies

Hirokazu Hori1 (1.Univ. Yamanashi)

Keywords:near-field optics, category theory, functionality theory

A brief introduction to category theoretical treatment of functionalities is presented based on near-field optical phenomena which reveals the nature of light-matter interaction described as a derived category. Some application examples are discussed with topology theoretical considerations. Several category theoretical descriptions are investigated for identity and relations of physical objects and non-equilibrium open systems as the general basis of functionalities.
