[15a-P5-3] Active controls of violet-excited plasmon on micro-actuated diaphragms

Surface plasmonic devices are useful for highly sensitive detection because of strong energy confinement effects. Although there are some reports on active plasmonics, based on nano-gap controls, such approach cannot be applied to short wavelength excitation. We successfully tune optical properties of violet-wavelength excited plasmon using microdiaphragms. In this presentation, we show a novel tuning mechanism of surface plasmon and device properties.
