Diatom, which have nanohole-arrayed structure on their shell, was used as a bioteplate process for fabricating gold nanohole-arrayed tips. Optical properties of the gold nanohole-arrayed tip of film thickness 60 nm, which shows most color changes in area in film thickness from 0 nm to 100 nm at intervals of 20 nm, were characterized by microscope spectrometer, optical microscope, and scanning electron microscope. It was found that the some absorption bands in the spectra appeared at visible light region. It is considered that the spectrum peaks are originated in enhancement of light absorption and scattering by localized surface plasmon resonance.
