Keywords:thermoelectric conversion, characteristic length of phonon, local Peltier constant

The performance of thermoelectric materials is estimated by using thermoelectric figure of merits ZT and it is believed that good thermoelectric material has higher ZT value.
In this presentation, we will show our activities which are (1) elucidation of thermoelectric conversion process in the order of characteristic length of phonons using local Peltier constant measurement, (2) material search of novel sulfides using first principle calculation, and (3) attempt of the thermoelectric measurement of monolayer sulfide thermoelectric materials.
