[16a-B3-2] Identification of polar surface by RHEED

To distinguish the surface polarity of binary crystal is important. It has been examined by RHEED whether the polar identification is possible for ZnO(0001) surfaces terminated with Zn or O atoms. The experimental rocking curves were confirmed to be obviously different for the different polar surfaces. It has been found that the determination of the surface polarity is possible by RHEED and the surface is relaxed.
