Keywords:plasmon, nanowire, strong coupling

Plasmonic nanoparticle dimer gaps, which distance is below 1 nm, are called hotspots where molecules and plasmon strongly interact to each other, resulting in enhancement of molecular optical responses. The gaps also realize strong coupling systems. Recently, such systems have been extensively studied in Quantum electrodynamics fields. In the case of nanowire dimers, coupling systems are expected to be extended to 10 mm (by 104 times). We demonstrated the extended coupling systems by comparing plasmon resonance changes before and after SERS quenching.
