[19a-P3-2] Optical Property of New types of Oligothiophene Compounds

Recently, high conversion efficiency over 10% under AM1.5G irradiation (100 mW cm-2) has been achieved for bulk heterojunction solar cells by blending oligothiophene or its derivatives as a donor and PC71BM as an acceptor. In this paper, we report the synthesis and optical properties of an acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) type of oligothiophene derivatives. We studied the effect the alkyl-chain position attached to the oligothiophenes on the optical properties.
