[19a-P3-27] Study on MMW Antenna Array System Using LC Phase Shifters

It becomes known that the many liquid crystal (LC) materials have a large refractive index anisotropy in the millimeter wave (MMW) regions as in the optical region.Utilizing these properties, we have studied on fundamental properties of introduction p and n-type liquid crystal phase shifters in MMW region. It is aimed at achieving a phased array antenna device that controls the MMW radiation properties by using the LC phase shifter.This paper reports the fundamental experimental results about the MMW(50GHz) radiation properties of the basic structure of the antenna device.
