[19a-P5-35] Photoexcited carrier dynamics of double-layered PbS/CdS quantum dot sensitized solar cells characterized by transient absorption methods

Quantum dot sensitized solar cell (QDSSC) has much attracted for high theoretical efficiency. However, light conversion efficiency of QDSSC is still low because of quantum surface defects levels. Recently, to improve conversion efficiency, quantum surface passivated QDSSC has reported. But, working electrodes of that have too complicated interface and photo excited carrier dynamics of these was not clear. For these reasons, in this study, we measured the photo excited carrier dynamics of PbS QDSSC passivated by CdS using transient absorption methods and clarified mechanism of increasing light conversion efficiency by quantum dot surface passivation.
