We discussed the slip systems of dislocations in a lithium tantalate single crystal grown by Cz technique. The dislocations were observed using X-ray topography, and TEM. In addition, we simulated the distribution of the stress and the strain in a growing LT crystal, and calculated Suhmid factor and shear stress of each slip system. From these results, it was discussed the generation mechanism and growth orientation dependence of the dislocation in the LT crystal growth.
