We have reported PbS CQD-based heterojunction solar cells (BHJ type)by employing ZnO nanowire arrays not only to establish carrier pathways but also to increase light harvesting efficiency. In this paper, solar cell properties of BHJ type cells and planar type cells are studies over a wider temperature range. The temperature dependence study has revealed that the BHJ type cell gives higher power energy conversion efficiencies in the temperature region studied than the planar type one. This is mainly due to the spatially separated electron/hole pathways formed in the BHJ type cells, which ccontributes to decreasing charge recombination rates.
