In recent years, there has been rapid development and increasing use of semiconductor technologies for recording from large numbers of neurons. To enable chronic and stable neural recording, we have been developing an implantable multichannel neural recording system. In this paper, we present an over-temperature protection with temperature detector which is implemented in the implantable multichannel neural recording system, especially we focused on a design of the silicon temperature sensor circuit and evaluation of silicon surface-temperature detection.
