[20p-S224-2] Giant-Pulse Width Tunable System based on Composite Nd:YAG/Cr:YAG Ceramic Microchip Laser

We present a giant-pulse width tunable laser by cavity length control. The tuning range of pulse width is from 0.5 to 9 ns and the peak powers of the pulses are over 0.5 MW up to 6 MW. Its characteristics and application to air-breakdown are presented in detail.
