We have investigated the diagnostic equipment of fatty liver based on the temperature dependence of ultrasonic velocity on materials. In this study, a simple diagnostic probe was proposed for diagnosis of fatty liver. The small ultrasonic transducer for measuring the ultrasonic velocity-change was mounted at the center of the acoustic lens attached to the ultrasonic transducer for heating. The basic experiments showed that the flat temperature profile was produced at the deep of the tissue phantom and the echo pulse shifts were observed in the fat-rich area.
