We have developed new quartz crucibles whose inner suraface has non-wettable (melt-phobic) property. This was achieved by the heat treatment changing amorphous quartz into crystobalite structure.
Using these crucibles, we suceeded in growing CZ silicon crystals having longer lifetime exceeding that of commercial MCZ silicon crystals.
