[20p-W9-1] Compton Imaging of Radionuclide in Medicine

A Compton camera consists of two sub-detectors: scatterer and absorber. We are currently developing a Compton camera apparatus for use as a novel imaging modality of nuclear medicine. Our Compton camera successfully imaged the distribution of SPECT agent and PET agent simultaneously. In addition the Compton camera has a potential to image bata emitter distribution. Optimizing the energy window, the spatial resolution could be better than the image of conventional gamma camera.
