[21a-S611-4] Study on intense-laser pumped wavelength conversion by crystal quartz

Selection of nonlinear material is important for nonlinear wavelength conversion. We have reported highly intense wavelength conversion pumped by 1.064µm laser source, such as Nd:YAG laser, by using ferroelectric crystals as LiNbO₃ and LiTaO₃. Recently, highly-resistant nonlinear materials have been requested, according to development of highly-intense, micro-sized pico-second pulse laser source. In this talk, we will present about an initial study of wavelength conversion using a crystal quartz.
