Compact source is a key component for various applications of the terahertz wave. In this presentation, we report on our recent results of room-temperature terahertz oscillators using resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs), including oscillation frequency, output power, high-speed modulation and wireless data transmission, frequency-tunable device and its application to spectroscopy.
