We studied temperature and hydration dependence of the complex dielectric spectra of a globular protein, lysozyme in the terahertz (THz) frequency region (0.3 – 1.8 THz) by THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). Spectral analyses of the complex dielectric spectra were performed in relation to temperature and hydration dependence to understand effects of thermal fluctuations on protein dynamics.
