Although there are many simulation reports of the electric field enhancement generated by plasmon, the repot of actual observation of the electric field enhancement is rare. In this study, we intended to observe the electric field enhancement directly using Kelvin probe force microscope. This time, we report the change of surface potential at the gold nanodisks on Si with irradiation of the specific wavelength light. The wavelength which observed the potential change showed good correlation with optical modes observed by microspectroscopy.
