CNT forests shows significant anisotolopic optical absorptions. We have reported a new member of CNT structures, frost column-like CNT forest, which shows an unique optical interference in reflectance spectra, produced by the optical interference between carbon films and substrates in the CNT frost column strucuture. The frost clumn-like CNT forest is expected to be applied to a novel opt devices, based on carbon materials. In this presentation, we will report infrared absorption properties of the frost column-like CNT forests.
