Realization of ultrafast device with operational frequency on the order of petaherz (1015 Hz) will be a next frontier in the field of attosecond technology and science. For this aim, it is required to develop a measurement scheme for electronic responses induced by a lightwave in solid state system with attosecond time resolution. In this paper, we propose a scheme for measuring petaherz electronic polarization in semiconductor with attosecond transient absorption spectroscopy.
