[21p-W351-12] n-Type Thermoelectric Properties of Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes encapsulating 1,1'-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are p-type in air, and they can convert to n-type after the treatment of proper electron donors. However, in general, n-type SWNTs immediately degrade in air. Recently, the encapsulation of donor molecules has been proposed in order to obtain the stable n-type composites. The hydrophobic internal space of SWNTs is expected to suppress the oxidation of donors. In this work, we examined the encapsulation of phosphine derivatives and its effect on the thermoelectric properties.
