[21p-W531-7] Design of Semiconducting Polymers Toward High-Efficiency Organic Solar Cells

Itaru Osaka1 (1.RIKEN CEMS)

Keywords:organic solar cells,semiconducting polymers,molecular orientation

The largest issue in organic solar cells is the improvement of the power conversion efficiency. Development of new semiconducting polymers is one of the most important approaches to address this issue. Recently, we have demonstrated that 10%-efficiency can be achieved in single-junction cells and the photon energy loss can be largely reduced by using naphthobischalcogenadiazole-based semiconducting polymers. In this talk, I will discuss the design, synthesis, properties and photovoltaic performances of the naphthobischalcogenadiazole-based polymers.
