We have succeeded in realizing ultrastrong-coupling between an atom and a harmonic oscillator by using macroscopic persistent current states of a superconducting flux qubit (atom) and large zero-point current fluctuation of a lumped element LC resonator (harmonic oscillator). The energy spectrum of the ultrastrongly coupled system has been systematically studied. In this presentation, the recent experimental results will be shown.
