[5p-C13-2] Liquid crystal elastomer deformation characteristics under alternating electric field driving
Keywords:liquid crystal, elastomer, soft matter
Liquid crystal elastomer(LCE) is a polymer gel in which liquid crystal molecules are bonded to a high molecular polymer network and is expected as a soft matter actuator that deforms in response to external forces such as electric field and heat. In our previous research, the tendency that the deformation rate changes according to the frequency of the applied electric field is measured. Therefore, in this study, in order to clarify this tendency, motion of liquid crystal molecules was investigated at a frequency where periodic deformation of LCE can not be observed.
