[5p-C13-3] Terahertz Wave Phase Shifter Using NRD Waveguide Loaded Aligned Nanofiber / Nematic Liquid Crystal Composite

Nowadays as the development of wireless communication technologies, large capacity and high-speed communication have attracted considerable attention and the range of frequency of using is getting higher and higher, for example, 100 GHz of the terahertz wave. We focus on using liquid crystal as a media to control the terahertz wave, and with transmission liquid crystal device, the phase of terahertz wave is controllable is confirmed. Furthermore, in the milliwave and terahertz wave region, the NRD (Non-Radiative Dielectric Waveguide) can be used, too. In this study, we report the results of terahertz wave phase shifter using NRD waveguide loaded aligned nanofiber / nematic liquid crystal composite.
