Research on the relationship between hetero-interface structure and solar cell efficiency for perovskite (PVK) solar cells is reviewed. The hetero interface includes n-type semiconductor/PVK and p-type semiconductor/PVK. Insertion of passivation layer on each interface enhances these efficiencies because of retardation of charge recombination at the hetero-interfaces. The interface architecture for mixed metal perovskite solar cells consisting of Sn is more serious than that of Pb-PVK solar cells. How the interface affects the Sn-related PVK solar cells is discussed in detail. In addition, recent progress on Sn-related PVK solar cells is reviewed with our results.
