[5p-C22-7] Utilization of cooling in the detection of vascular unstable plaque using ultrasonic velocity change method

We have investigated a method to identify a vascular unstable plaque by using ultrasonic velocity-change method. So far, we have utilized warming to obtain temperature change in a tissue phantom. In this study, from the view point of margin of safety, we utilized cooling instead of warming. As a result, the tissue phantom was effectively cooled and ultrasonic velocity-change images clearly showing areas of vascular unstable plaques were obtained.
