Keywords:carbon nanotube, arc discharge

Generally, carbon nanotubes (CNT) are produced by an arc discharge method, where carbon is used for both electrodes and a metal catalyst is used with carbon for the cathode. In this study, we have conducted experiments using four kinds of metals (iron, copper, manganin, and nickel) for the cathode and have investigated the difference in product and production yield due to the difference in the metals.
