The arc discharge method in foam does not use vacuum equipment. A simple device configuration makes the discharge environment in foam. The discharge environment is closer to a vacuum environment than an underwater one, so the discharge intensity and sustainability are remarkably better in comparison to an underwater method. However, beer foam was used as foam for the discharge environment for the arc discharge in foam method. After CNT were produced, distillation work was required to eliminate the beer foam. This study investigated whether by replacing the conventional beer foam used for the discharge location in the arc discharge in foam method with foam made with a surfactant (SDS) CNT could be produced easily and efficiently in the same way as in the conventional beer foam, and also whether the CNT synthesis process and dispersion process would be carried out simultaneously when the CNT produced by the arc discharge in SDS foam method were dispersed in the SDS.
