[5p-PA2-20] Preparation of Polyimide Thin Films by Vapor Deposition Polymerization

Polyimide (PI) thin films were prepared by vapor deposition polymerization. PI having azo group in the main chain was obtained by co-evaporating monomers of pyromellitic dianhydride and 4,4’-diaminoazobenzene. After co-evaporation, the co-depositon film was annealed at 250 degree to conduct imidization. Accoding to FT-IR spectra, formation of PI was confirmed.
