Vinylcarbazole monomers were deposited on the chemically modified Al surface, which was having a thiol terminated self-assembled monolayer. And the surface-tethered poly(vinylcarbazole) thin film was obtained by vapor-deposition polymerization using thiol-ene reaction. This technique is promising for controlling the metal/organic interface.
