[5p-S44-1] Precise radial Hilbert transform microscopy by illuminating focusing x-rays

We have successfully constructed a novel x-ray imaging microscope using a spiral Fresnel zone plate (S-FZP) as a lens. The sample is placed in between a focusing element (FZP) and this lens, S-FZP, placed at the focal plane of FZP. Using this setup, an ideal radial Hilbert (RH) transformed image could be obtained by the Fourier transform of the sample complex transmissivity incident on the S-FZP. The edges of objects are clearly visualized in a RH transform microscope. We further demonstrated that local vorticity of energy flow at the exit-face of samples is measurable using RH transformed images of a S-FZP in two helicities in a clockwise and anti-clockwise orientations by reversing its side. In order words, the difference of the two RH transform images enabled us to discriminate the local chirality of our sample in the experiment. These results are presented and are discussed in detail.
