We investigate harmonic spectra and their polarization from a GaSe thin film by circularly polarized infrared pulses. We find the extinction of the third harmonic and the generation of circularly polarized harmonics above the band gap. This behavior is explained by a selection rule for circularly polarized harmonics which originates from the 3-fold rotational symmetry of a GaSe crystal.
