We report the results of artificial photosynthesis experiments using InGaP / GaAs two-junction solar cell with Pt co-catalysts. Two samples with 60μm and 124μm diameter circular Pt co-catalysts evaporated on the surface of InGaP/GaAs structures were prepared. Pt plate as a counter electrode and 0.5 M KHCO3 as an electrolyte were used to measure a photocurrent. Furthermore, surface reflectivities were also measured for these samples. As a result, sample with 124μm diameter Pt circular showed a higher photocurrent compared to 60μm one, despite having a higher reflectivity. It is essential to optimize a size of Pt co-catalyst.
