[6p-C18-2] Spintronics and Magnetics in Si Photonics

We report on integration of spintronics and magnetics in Si photonics. Topics include 1) Enhancement and wavelength tunability of magneto optical Kerr effect by surface plasmons in double layer dielectrics and ferromagnetic metal, 2) Design and fabrication of nonreciprocal dielectric loaded plasmonic waveguides using magneto optical effect, and 3) Design and analysis of nonreciprocal coupling in Si hybrid plasmonic waveguides with other possible applications.
