[6p-C22-11] Sound-proof Near Field Acoustic Metamaterial: Thin Membrane with Through Hole.

We propose a new type of two-dimensional acoustic metamaterial. We found that fixed membranes with through-holes provided sound attenuation at selective resonance frequencies in the low-frequency regime below 1000 Hz. The mechanism of the resonant sound attenuation is based on the destructive interference in the near field regime.
