We deposited Al/Ag, Ti/Ag films on glass substrates using RF magnetron sputtering and investigated the surface morphology and optical properties.
The film thickness of silver was 150 nm, that of the surface layer was changed to 1 nm, 3 nm and 5 nm.
We found the surface roughness was decreased by depositing the surface metal layer on Ag film.
In the optical properties, the samples with Al, Ti surface layer (3, 5 nm) showed lower reflectance than the silver single layer, but the 1 nm deposited sample showed almost the same reflectance as the silver single layer.
