Keywords:PV module, PID, water spraying

We have conducted an outdoor PID acceleration test (OPAT) under regular water spraying and voltage application of -1000V in Tosu, Japan. In-house assembled, PID-susceptible full-size multicrystalline silicon modules were used. The modules have degraded up to 10 times faster compared to tests with no additional water spraying. With no water spraying and no voltage application, the modules have recovered during outdoor exposure.
